Song Lyric Sunday: Boys

Good morning WordPress folk, I hope that you’ve had a good week! Hasn’t it gone quickly? It’s Sunday once more and time to peruse the playlists and get your groove on as we prepare for Song Lyric Sunday. I don’t know how she does it but Helen manages to come up with something new every single week and our prompt for today is boys.

If you haven’t played along please give it a go; it’s a fun way to discover new tunes and meet new bloggers. Here are some rules for you:

For me, this song is reminiscent of late night jazz clubs; it’s around 2am and a few couples are clinging together, swaying around the dance floor, completely caught up in each other. George Michael’s voice is like honey: soft, sweet and rich and the music just flows with the rhythm of a heartbeat.

The lyrics tell of the hopelessness of loving someone who ‘loves’ for a living i.e. a prostitute. It could be a tawdry tale but instead it’s something really quite beautiful and almost innocent. It’s one of my favourite songs to chill out to and I really hope that you like it.
