I’m just asking as I seem to have lost it. I wrote a post for Song Lyric Sunday yesterday (Forever Autumn by Justin Hayward was the tune in case you were wondering) and it just disappeared. It’s not in trash or pending – it just seems as though Wordpress has eaten it :O( Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Sometimes it gets posted backdated. You can check all your published posts and you may find it. Happened to me!

Hi Sadje, thanks for your suggestion, I’ve just checked my published posts and it doesn’t seem to be there. Any idea why/how it happened when it happened to you? x

When I happened to me, I had started the post a few days ago and when I hit the publish button, it got published the day I had made the draft. That’s why I now schedule my posts.

This may be a silly question and I’m sure that you would have checked, but just to mention, that I have found ‘blogs’ saved in my drafts files, or sometimes, I have forgotten to make the post public? just a thought…

I am a firm believer that aliens steal every millionth post on WordPress. You just happened to be unlucky.
