Sunshine Blogger Award (No. 4…I think)

Morning chaps! Well, my good chum Rory a wonderful guy called bloke, is now responsible for me having to erect a virtual shelf as he has nominated me for another award. Honestly, I am really touched by this so thanks from the bottom of my heart Rory :O) Do wander over and have a chat with him, his blog is incredibly entertaining and I’m sure you’ll love it!

As always I have to apprise you of the rules (what happens if you break one I wonder…?):

Thank the blogger/s who nominated you.

Use the “Sunshine Blogger Award” logo on your post and list the rules.

Answer the 11 questions the selector asks of you.

Nominate 5-11 bloggers you want to give the award to.

Ask the following bloggers that you selected 11 questions of your own.

These are Rory’s questions and he has put some real humdingers in there…..holds nose and dives in:

Why was he called Darth Vader and not Fart Fader?

Because the storm troopers would have cracked up laughing every time their Lord and master was announced and that would have been just awful for his street cred. (I’ve added a video here because it illustrates life for Darth Vader without his creds)

What’s the worst pair of socks you have ever owned?

Every single pair. Socks are the work of the devil.

Do you think the older we get, whilst we become wiser to a certain extent we become dumber in so far as our faster progression of digital software and if so why and if not why?

I don’t understand that bit about progression of digital software but I could explain the meaning of life over a nice cup of tea if you’ve got a minute.

What is the difference between an acquaintance and a colleague?

An acquaintance is someone you choose to spend time with every now and again whereas a colleague is someone you’re forced to spend time with every day whether you like it or not

If nothing held you back in your confidence what would you cram into one day where the rest of life would be made easier because of the previous days actions?

I would spend the whole day talking to complete strangers and then hope to benefit from at least one new found friendship in the days following.

Of everything you do in a given 24 hours per day what takes up the most time?

Thinking….

If you could travel back in time and change 1 hour of your life knowing full well it will alter your current past, present and future would you do so, and if so what? If not, what prevents you from doing so?

I was going to give a joke answer to this (probably involving socks) but I won’t. The hour I would change would be the last that my husband spent on earth. He died at 2am and I’d been persuaded to go home some time in the evening; not being with him to hold his hand as he left this world is my only regret in life and the guilt will stay with me forever. If I could go back I would spend that hour with him.

Ok, so we live each day, every second, every minute and every hour of every day, week, month and year, and at which point of any given day, week or month or year would you say you feel or have felt  the most alive?

The day that I got married.

What’s more important to you? Your Phone or your wallet/purse/bag?

Definitely my bad, without that I wouldn’t have anywhere to put my phone ;O)

Uh oh! You have died before your time and you are there standing with the Maker and discussing your available options, which are:

Go back as a donkey

Go back as a walrus

Go back as a cockroach

Go back as a completely different person of 40, your choice of gender.

Stay dead.

What would you choose and why?

If you chose the ‘stay dead’ option, why did you do that?

I would choose to stay dead. Why? I am unique, there is only one of me and there was only ever meant to be one of me plus why would you want to go back when you could go forward?

Wow those were some tough questions Rory!

Now on to mine, shall I be naughty or nice…………..?

  1. If you had the opportunity to meet Jesus [or insert deity of choice] what question would you ask?
  2. What’s your favourite memory from childhood?
  3. If someone gave you a skateboard and directed you to a steep hill, would you give it a go?
  4. If it was perfectly acceptable to walk around naked would you?
  5. If you were given the gift of telepathy for one hour would you use it and, if so, who with?
  6. What would you change about your life if you knew your ‘sell by date’?
  7. What’s the funniest thing that you’ve ever seen?
  8. There is a fork in the road – one way leads to a certain future where contentment is guaranteed and the other to uncertainty with the possibility of both ecstasy and agony; which path would you choose?
  9. Days on the beach or nights by a log fire, which would you choose?
  10. If you could be guaranteed to feel no fear, what would you do that you haven’t done up until now?
  11. If you had the choice between giving 100 Christmas gifts and receiving nothing or receiving 100 and giving none, which would you choose.

There you have it, my 11 questions, and they are open to anyone who would like to answer them because I do enjoy a good free for all! However, I am also going to nominate a few of my favourite bloggers for an award which I hope they’ll accept even if they don’t fancy baring their all and answering my questions:

Braeden Michaels over at Storm of Ink – a very talented poet and all round nice guy

The lovely Brandi. A great gal to share a chat and a cup of joe

Wendi, a lovely, kind, gentle lady who can life your heart with her words

Ivor who’s a great poet, super chap and, apparently a plumber.

Dr Perry. A great guy with rare common sense and a kind heart

There you have it, it’s over to you guys now….

Have a super day one and all

Lisa x

  2. My answers to your interesting questions.
1.If you had the opportunity to meet Jesus [or insert deity of choice] what question would you ask?
Why didn’t you use the KISS system
2.What’s your favourite memory from childhood?
Nearly too long ago, always my days at the beach
3.If someone gave you a skateboard and directed you to a steep hill, would you give it a go?
Yes I did, but not sure about right now, I’m struggling just to get out of bed….
4.If it was perfectly acceptable to walk around naked would you?
Yes of course, otherwise you’d look out of place, like a nerd !!
5.If you were given the gift of telepathy for one hour would you use it and, if so, who with?
I’m an alien, and I’ve been using it all my life, but unfortunately I didn’t learn how to decipher the alien language
that the telepathic messages were sent in……. ??
6.What would you change about your life if you knew your ‘sell by date’?
All depends when that date is, but I would like to have more money so I could travel a lot more…
7.What’s the funniest thing that you’ve ever seen?
My dad with his very fair, redhead’s skin, sitting there on the beach and mum rubbing the sun-screen lotion all over his hairy white freckly body,
8.There is a fork in the road – one way leads to a certain future where contentment is guaranteed and the other to
uncertainty with the possibility of both ecstasy and agony; which path would you choose?
I’ve been on the path of of both ecstasy and agony too long to change direction now. ??
9.Days on the beach or nights by a log fire, which would you choose?
Definitely days on the beach, followed by nights beside a log fire
10.If you could be guaranteed to feel no fear, what would you do that you haven’t done up until now?
Have an author write my life’s Biography, it’s a long saga……
11.If you had the choice between giving 100 Christmas gifts and receiving nothing or receiving 100 and giving none, which would you choose.
I’d always be giving a million gifts to those kids that get none…….
