Hard to find and harder still to let go

Not lasting in life but lasting beyond death

Feeling a hand creep into yours as you come awake

An image comes unbidden, a face, a smile

Arms that wrap around, warm, safe, all at peace

A smell that sets all senses aflame, a voice

The greatest gift, to give, to receive

To be loved. A fading memory
