I Thought You’d Come Back…

Be patient, they said

Time heals

The indefinite

Never ending

Waiting game

Be patient, they said

Time heals

The indefinite

Never ending

Waiting game

Unceasing, progress

Marching forward

Never patient

Still insistent

I thought you’d come back

You can’t, I know

I can’t stop

Waiting………….

Feeling sad today but trying not to. Have a lovely day wherever you are and whatever you’re doing :O)

  1. I never understood the phrase “Sea of Grief” before grief happened to me, Now I get it. At first you edge into it gently as you are still too shocked and numb to assimilate all that has just happened in your world. Gradually you go in deeper, sometimes you manage to feel almost at one with the water you believe it might just be OK some time, not right now but some time. Then you find you are paddling furiously below the waves. You keep your head ( literally but not metaphorically). You are above the waves looking back to all standing on that far away beach as if you are doing just fine. Under the deep blue water however you are treading water crazily, madly. You are not doing fine. Then a wave crashes over and you go under, gasping, sobbing wondering how to deal with this. The wave recedes eventually and you can return to the shore, You will encounter sharp stones, shells, rocks, and other such obstacles there are smaller waves but you are heading the right way.

And if you need a friend to rescue you from that sea ….

    1. You put that so unbelievably beautifully and yes it’s exactly like that; I know you understand so well. This morning there was a wave but this afternoon I’ve bobbed up to the surface again.
Thank you my dear friend. Love and hugs xxxxx

      1. It’s ok I’m used to it; it’s just that it would have been my husband’s birthday next week so I’m a bit all over the place.
Oh no that sucks! It’s horrible when you have to miss a gym session 😟 xx

      2. I see, so sorry. Close to my birthday then.
I have managed two 90 minute sessions and an hour in the pool since monday so I am not too fed up about it but I do not like missing my workout. X

      3. When is yours?
That’s pretty good going! I managed an hour in the gym yesterday and hour of Pilates this morning but my usual 5km walks are impossible at the moment as it’s been about 35 degrees every day with around 75% humidity. Saying that we’ve just had a massive storm so the air is a bit clearer now 😊 xx

  2. So sorry to hear you felt like that Lisa. It seems you wrote that poem the same day you left that comment about the lost of your hubby on my blog. I wish I knew at the time what you were feeling. I would of reply to you sooner. Hope you are feeling a little better today. Big hug.

      1. Yes, I find that sometimes writing does help in these situations, but it does not take the pain away. It just helps to keep going. The WP community is wonderful indeed. I’m glad I got the chance to meet you and hope I will have the pleasure to get to know you better.
